I want to talk about it

I wanted to share something like this today because it makes me more comfortable to express how I feel in the void of the internet, knowing that at the same times it brings me closer to whoever reads it.

It's really beautiful to see what resonates with us when we hear the voice of our friends. I listen to Rawhiti´s poem and look at the echo that comes back. How do we feel in front of what is real?  Music for our ears and feelings or tears to wash it off?

To be honest, I'm writing because I find it difficult to go about life without hearing what people believe and how they feel about their opinions at the moment. I want to talk about it because it seems to me that hiding our opinions is not allowing us to flow with life.

These are days where we can be very vocal about our personal freedoms, so why are we seeing people who would usually happily share their opinion remaining silent?

Even when there is not a storm of things to be said, maybe the creative juices didn't show up, a brief emotional moment sounds refreshing. When people show up and express their feelings, when someone owns their story, I see nature unfolding.

And I really miss talking to people, hearing what are they grateful for and how far we have come.

Let's not make the same mistake the past generation did avoiding the hard topics, if we are brave enough to talk about religion, lubricated erections, the cannabis industry, polyamory and self pleasure on the same conversation, we should be able to talk about our current disagreements. Remember that not long ago we would be expecting the spanish inquisition for the kinds of books we have on the shelf.

There are defintely topics that can have us diverging in opinions but also have the potential to bring us all around the table to understand our privileges, our disadvantages and our feelings around them both.

Finding a space to argue and get closer to our feelings is like going to nature, our nature. This might seem a time to nest and hide from danger, but if you ask me, I believe it is a time to be brave and find a safe way of expressing how we feel to people that are close to us, and let them know how close they are.

The next lines are from a jam session we had recently with one of my flatmates, we have very different opinions on various topics, but we play music together and we tend to find harmony there, our discussions are often comforting for they bring us understanding about different ways of living. It is sometimes random but we have fun playing music together and that strengthens our frienship.

I need help drawing circles

I draw too many rectangles

What we are trying to create is hard

Leave our diferences aside

We are like modern priests

Bringing with us some sacred shit

This fresh camomille,

like the luminance of setting sun

through close island borders

blue peach fades to peach

through close eyelids

like ripe fruit in the fresh summer freshness

Our flag gives us shade

and a symbol to carry the voice

of our disagreements without shame

And I came here instead of becoming a monk

to see how this teachings affected my life

on the other side of the gong

Knocking at the door of valhalla

without knowing if Mordor is on the other side or ours

Plants are high tech

basically an in situ thermosyphon

completely adapted to its space

completely responsive to the environment

finds a place and spreads its seed

through giving away its fruits

basically helping other  species

Give it a breath.

How quickly are we going to be talking about the universe?

We are on the other side of the gong

We have an axis a center through which opposition goes

I guess it is worth the creative exercise.

For all the expressions in shape and movement

are nature´s voice, it´s ears and eyes.

I want to talk about it, keep my friendships alive.

Buenas noches
