Connection
We asked Ra if she could write something about connection so we could talk about it more. Here´s what she created.
I stand within myself
temporarily,
Aching to be held and heard permanently.
Not by you,
But by my own trust
That I can listen to my heart when she says
Slow.
Down.
That soul deep stability of my own certainty,
I am Whole.
I say,
I am driven by connection
But do I really
Receive satisfaction
When immersed in a world so dependent
On consumption.
My own desire
Drives me
Pleasure desperate for more than momentary
Bliss
But when I say pleasure, I mean pain.
I mean disgust, and I mean the uncertainty
Of everything that ever could and ever would be.
Are you free?
Do you believe me,
When I say - it’s okay now.
Take your discomfort and press it to your open beating heart.
Melt against the edges of your apparent disgrace, and find the place
that simply
wants
to be loved.
And then perhaps we would have made a start, because I know
I’m not the only one afraid of the
Dark
Spells
I’ve been casting
On whatever part of my soul will listen
To me now,
Because I have a vision,
And I know you do too.
This isn’t a poem it’s a cry for
Help
Me
I’m stranded, on the shores of my own longing
For a world
I am
choosing to create
But I am sick
Of collectively not recognising
How brave we really are
So when I found the part of my voice I thought was dead
I took those bones and I sang songs instead
Sharing my love of all creation,
I see it’s not just me
remembering
So grasp hold
Of your heart, tear the walls apart.
Choose whats real, forget normal
Gently rise to the conviction
That you have your own wisdom
And there is a world
Allowing itself
To be built
Connection,
Just waiting to be felt.
